Who we are
The Redeemer Story
Some places just stay with you.
For Dennis and Kristy Ellingburg, North Rankin County has always been home. Both of them grew up here. Dennis graduated in 1995 and Kristy a year later from East Rankin Academy. They have watched this community grow and change over the decades. The roads are busier now. New families are putting down roots. Neighborhoods are being built and filling up with young couples raising children and trying to figure out what it means to build a life that actually holds together.
That growth is a blessing. But it also raised a question that Dennis and Kristy could not shake: where will these families find a church that takes discipleship seriously? Not just a place to attend on Sunday, but a community where faith shapes real life, where marriages are strengthened, where children grow up knowing Christ, and where people are known by name and loved well.
That burden grew quietly over several years. It was not one dramatic moment. It was more like a slow, steady pull back to the place they love, with a calling they could no longer ignore.
Redeemer Fellowship is the answer to that pull. It exists because a community that is growing deserves a church that is genuinely making disciples, not just filling seats. Dennis and Kristy are not building something from the outside in. They are planting a church in their own backyard, among their own neighbors, for the long haul.
This is home. And they believe the gospel belongs here.
Our vision

We want to be a church where faith grows, relationships deepen, and households pursue Christ together through worship, service, mission, and apprenticeship.

Our values
What shapes how we build.
Everything we do at Redeemer Fellowship flows from a set of convictions we hold deeply. These are not slogans. They are the beliefs that shape how we build, how we lead, and how we live together.
We believe biblical truth forms biblical people.
We do not trust methods, trends, or personalities to form mature disciples. We trust the Word of God. Scripture is our authority, our foundation, and our daily bread.
We believe you cannot do life alone.
God designed us for community. Isolation is the enemy of growth. At Redeemer, we are committed to doing life together in honest, accountable, Christ-centered relationships.
We believe disciples make disciples.
The Great Commission is not the assignment of a few. It is the calling of every follower of Jesus. We are building a church where multiplication is the goal, not just addition.
We believe saved people serve people.
Grace produces generosity. A life changed by Christ naturally turns outward toward others in love, sacrifice, and service.
We believe found people find people.
Gospel transformation moves believers toward sharing their faith as a way of life rather than as a program.
